Wonderful banter

Sage and Austin were wonderful together. The banter, the push and pull, and the wonderful nod to our brave men and women who go into the military to protect our freedoms makes this a must read or listen. Add in that the audiobook features Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor? I was so excited to engage with book 14! of the Men of Inked series. I think this may be the last of the series and while standalone, reading all the others is recommended because of Chelle Bliss' trademark humor, with the characters ribbing each other like a big, loving family. I adored the look into the other characters we have met and loved through this series and her others, all of which come together in a world that I wish we could be a part of. A great series, a great book, and a fantastic listen.

The Gallos are back with the fourteenth book in the Men of Inked: Heatwave series and it gives readers Austin’s story. Any time with the Gallos, you know you are in for in for some fun and ribbing. Austin is Pike’s younger brother who has grown up to be a Navy Seal who comes and goes depending on his missions. Sage has recently enlisted in the Navy continuing her family’s military tradition. Deciding to have a little fun before her first deployment, Sage and a friend head to a biker bar where Sage is unceremoniously ditched. Not one to let things bother her, she continues drinking when Austin approaches. Sage is not interested in the attention and proceeds to leave only to discover her car is on the fritz. Once again, Austin comes to the rescue...whether wanted or not. The banter between them is spicy and keeps the pages turning. At certain times, it seemed like Austin would not take a hint which only made things better. Even though their time together was short, their feelings kept growing the more time they spent together, making it feel like instalove but when you know, you know. Overall, this is one emotional storyline that proves family is not just blood but those people that you choose to have in your life making it brighter.
Loved!

I loved Austin and Sage's story! Both in the military and meeting at a dive bar one night, Austin helps Sage and a friendship blooms. They were a fun couple that came with plenty of drama and an injury that had them making some hard decisions. Austin is Pike's younger brother and although not a "Gallo" he has a found family in the Gallos. I enjoy this family so much and it's always great being back in their world. Dare is a book you don't want to miss in this series, and it's the last one for this side of the Gallo second generation. Looking forward for what's to come with the Southside Gallos.
Such a heartwarming story

Once I started the book I could not get enough.
Austin and Sage are amazing characters.
Their story is charming, heartwarming and sexy.
And what makes it even better is the whole Gallo Family. ❤️
I so adored Sage. She’s feisty, smart and has a plan for her life.
She is a baddie and independent.
Yes a strong woman and so admirable.
I couldn’t help but fall in love with Austin.
His life hasn’t been the easiest.
But he made best out of what he was dealt.
He’s a charmer and can win over any heart.
The banter is fantastic. I absolutely enjoyed their back and forth.
These two complimented each other so well.
And the chemistry between them is electrifying.
Their lust and passion just sizzles hot and steamy.
And again what was the icing on the cake was the Gallo Family and their antics.
What an incredible family they are.
They love each other fiercely.
And welcome the significant others of their family members with open arms.
They had me laughing through many parts of the book.
And they just make you want to be a part of them.
Such and enjoyable and delightful story.
A daring conclusion to an awesome series!!

𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂 is the first book in the new Wilds of Montana series by Kristen Proby, featuring an engaging small town romance for Erin Montgomery and Remington Wild. Erin has finally found her place in the Bitterroot Valley where she can build a life away from the pressure and wealth of her famous family. She loves the small town vibe and kind people. When she finds herself in need of a second job, she agrees to be a part-time nanny for Remington Wild, the grumpy rancher she has served coffee almost every day. The more time Erin spends with Remington and his two kids, the more she falls for all of them. Eventually secrets from Erin’s past come out, and danger follows her to Montana. Can the new relationship survive?
As a huge fan of the With Me in Seattle and Single in Seattle series, I was thrilled to dive into Erin’s story!! Erin and Remington’s relationship had the perfect blend of sweet and spicy moments, and their banter was fun. The world building was top notch with the Wild family being full of compelling characters, as well as the rest of the town. It’s definitely going to be an entertaining series going forward. The kids were beyond adorable, the family bond was heartwarming, and the way they accepted Erin was awesome. I LOVED getting to see Erin’s family, and the way their dynamic was similar to the Wild’s. The suspense plot was intriguing and twisted in a way that had me questioning my own suspicions.😂
I listened to the audio version narrated by Emma Wilder and Sebastian York, who both did a fabulous job bringing all the characters to life, which I’m sure is no easy task, when you have two families plus a small town! They were able to flow from banter to passion to emotion to suspense, or even jump from a child voice to a much older character with ease. Let’s be honest, I could listen to Sebastian York all day long!😆
What a great way to start a new series! I can’t wait for the next one!!

While it's not necessary to have read the rest of the Men of Inked books, do yourself a favor and go read them after this one...it's a fabulous series! Sage is a spitfire right from the get-go and I absolutely adored her! She totally fits into the strong women vibe in the Gallo/Inked family of women. Austin is completely swoony and his backstory will squeeze your heart. I'd say he falls first, although she's not far behind. The military and distance keeps their romance a slow burn but the frisky communications, friendship and feelings are evident from the start. Adding in so many beloved characters is always an added bomus, but the fact that his brother is Pike (Burn, Men of Inked: Heatwave) made it more special to me since that's the book I started the series with. Spice, heat and not a lot of angst...my kind of story. Plus, Chelle Bliss is a fantastic writer and I devour everything she publishes. Another 5 star book!
Just completely loved!!!

Goodness, Austin grew up!! 😍 I read the original book all those years ago, and boy has it become more epic! I love Austin & Sage’s connection, their banter & their chemistry, loved their visit to the Gallo family (that’s an always), and how as much as they tried not to, they just couldn’t help falling for each other. I will say, I shed way more tears than I thought I would, but dang, I just loved this!!

The Gallo’s always make people feel like they are a part of their big Italian family. That was how Austin felt years ago when he went to live with his brother Pike, who was dating Gigi Gallo. Her family welcomed him and showered him with love. The life of a Navy Seal is dangerous, secretive, but very rewarding, and Austin was proud of all that he had accomplished. Romance was never something he thought about but when he met Sage he had a feeling that his life was about to change.
Sage was tough, beautiful, funny and liked to joke around. Austin admired her independence, but he liked showing her he was a gentleman by opening her car door and pulling her chair out at dinner. Sage liked what she saw in Austin but this wasn’t the time in her life for a romantic connection. When he took her home to meet the Gallo’s, she fell in love with them and never wanted to leave. Fate brought Austin and Sage together which seemed to happen quite often in the Gallo family. His brother Pike gave Austin some good advice: don’t let Sage get away. It appeared as if Austin and Sage had known each other forever, and hopefully time and distance would only strengthen their sweet romance.
