Josquin provides here a straightforward, but much more involved than you might think, series of exercises that will be useful and challenging for beginners, intermediate and advanced players. I found over the years that while it clearly is a teaching book for the fingers and hands to see all possible patterns enabling muscle memory, I use quite a few of the exercises for a quick warm-up before a gig.
