Description

Enjoy this fun paranormal cozy mystery with heaping dollops of snark, wit, and witches from ReGina Welling and Erin Lynn, authors of humorous magical mysteries.

New town…new start…same old problems

When sister witches Mag and Clara Balefire moved to the sleepy town of Harmony, Maine, to take over leadership of the coven there, they thought they'd have chance at a new life. Fate had other plans. The Balefires hardly have time to get unpacked when they stumble over a dead body.

Local authorities consider the death an open and shut case, but Mag and Clara refuse to let the ruling of accidental death stand—not when they're positive it was murder.

As they dig deeper, secrets begin to surface and the sisters begin to suspect some of the townsfolk aren't as innocent as they appear. When they discover the killer might be someone close to the victim, they don't know who to trust.

As if that's not enough, the local coven expects them to bring their cantankerous, ancient leader to heel, and she's having none of it.

Between solving two murders and keeping a mischievous, elderly witch with power to spare from wreaking havoc, moving to a small town isn't quite what the Balefire sisters bargained for.

Murder Above the Fold is the first novel in the Mag & Clara Balefire Mysteries series. For fans of Tegan Maher, Tricia O' Malley, or Dionne Lister, this is a cozy witch mystery featuring whimsical sister witches of a certain age. Enjoy!

I could not get into this book. I read chapter after chapter hoping there’d be something that would pull me in. There never was, so I finally had to give up.

An engrossing read with humor mixed with magical moments to flush out a self-satisfied , unnoticed murderer.

I loved reading this book about two famous witches. They are brought to town to supposedly help curtail the most senior witch there. What they end up doing is investigating a murder that was termed an accidental death with help from the elderly witch.

Really tried to read this, two days in a row, hoping it would improve and keep my interest.alas, it was so boring and ridiculous, I had to give up. I really cannot believe it's even on a list of mysteries and thrillers, it puts you to sleep and is just plain awful.
