Description

When a prominent lawyer is shot while waiting at a suburban stop sign it sets off a nation-wide manhunt for an elusive killer. Special Agent Jack Randall of the FBI finds himself appointed to track down and stop the shooter. Not by his superiors, but by the killer himself.

As more bodies fall the shooter takes his message to the press, earning the support of the public with his choice of targets and confounding the FBI at every turn. From the desert of Nevada to the urban jungle of New York City, Jack and his team follow the trail of bodies and haunting messages left behind by the killer. With the pressure to find him mounting on Jack, the assassin’s crimes grow bolder, and his message more sinister and closer to home.

It becomes clear to Jack that in order to find the shooter, he may have to look inside his own past, and become the man he was years ago.

The writing makes you feel as if you are there. I liked it. Technical details were spot on, at least as far as the medical events.

Great action scenes but the wrong premise. No one kills a Senator over a crime bill. Not the left not the right. All other targets were credible. Of all the political targets are the few that finance the hate on both sides. Those are the credible targets... The list is distinguished and disturbing.

Couldn't finish the book. A little much liberal for me. Maybe I did not give it the proper chance but it is a long book and did not want to invest the time.

Great movement throughout. Great use of characters versus situations. Realistic and clear approach from start to finish and the plot keeps you involved. Hard to put down once you start and instead of wanting to race to the finish, you find yourself slowing down in attempt to capture every work and begin thinking like the characters as they are weaved together.

This story was very interesting until I ran into all of the technical descriptions of guns and explosive devises. I'm sorry, but I am just too old to understand all of the technical terms. Maybe another story with less technical information.
