Mar., 2016, Raghurajpur, Odisha, India – We are most fortunate to experience in this video, the quaint heritage village of the artisans of Raghurajpur, Odisha, before being completely and utterly decimated by Cyclone Fani on May 3rd, 2019, bringing down houses, trees and livelihoods of all of its 140 houses with 7,000 people, its priceless pieces of artwork washed away forever. A great loss indeed!
Unique, exotic artwork found on every doorway and walls of the small village, with its museum-like atmosphere, greets us with a warm welcome. The breathtakingly colourful, traditional and religion-based paintings will surely transport us all to another dimension!!
