I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting and strange foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly MY point of view, but is not meant to offend any person or culture.

This is my tribute to the late Anthony Bourdain. It was surreal to encounter all these people and places, retracing his footsteps and putting together the story of what happened AFTER the TV broadcast. It would be awesome if other food youtubers did the same. Trevor in Chengdu, Mark in Bangkok and so on. Hope you liked it.
We've listed all the restaurants and their info in the description box so you can easily visit next time you're in town.
Next time you're in Vietnam, hit up Onetrip for an amazing food or adventure tour: https://www.christinas.vn/onetrip/saigon/
Let me know if you liked this style of video. We can follow up with other restaurants Bourdain visited in Vietnam.
❤️❤️❤️
This is Your best episode, thank you.
When i visited vietnam, I did my best to eat at every place anthony went to; the Lunch Lady was amazing. Best bowl I have ever had, bar none.
Please if can do a list with name of all the places he visited in Vietnam, we really appreciate it, I want to go to Vietnam and visit and eat in all those places
THANKS
LOVE BOURDAIN
Vietnamese people are as beautiful as their country .. and hands down some of the nicest people on the planet.
Anthony Bourdain was and always will be my idol !
Great job
Beautiful video 👍🏻
He said “Banh Cac” 😂
Oh, the food of the Lunch Lady looked absolutely amazing! I was mouthwatering
Saigon ❤
Sorry u had so many demons. I understand and though we never met u are in my thought
He went to Ho Chi Minh city on a Cook's Tour show ca. 2001.
Why good guy like him go so early. So sad.
Man the last lady at the end crying while sharing her anthony bourdain memories had me 😢
Thank you
That ending man!!! Miss Tony a lot still and ive never been to Vietnam (would absolutely love to, i think its a beautiful place and culture) but we had a family ran Vietnamese place here locally for decades. Everyone loved them and felt very connected to them. Gpa as we all called him (the father to the family that ran the restaurant), passed right before covid and then covid hit. They had to close and it was a hard hit for the community (small, simple rural agricultural American community, very close to each other. Everyone knows everyone). The Vietnamese people are so undoubtedly amazing. I can only hope to have a chance to visit there one day.
RIP Anthony
I know I'm 4 years late but man Anthony Bourdain was truly a legend. I watched and re-watched ever ever episode. I never would know about all these places. And my one place to visit before I'm gone is Laos…because of him.
I have to say that this is one of the most amazing videos that you have ever made, I would love to see more of the restaurants that Mr Bourdian visited in Vietnam. Thank you very much for doing this Tribute
Yes, please do more follow up visits on places AB went and the lives of the people touched and change. 🙏❤️
Thank you for doing this tribute video to AB.🙏❤️
I never knew AB but I loved him, I miss him. He was such a beautiful soul. May he RIP …… 🙏 ❤️
Well done loved this video. Amazing heart felt stories
Amazing video! made me really emotional
Love all your videos but this was really special! Would love to see more of the lives Bourdain impacted
The soundtrack from 14:05 onwards is Scipio – Afterwards
I was expecting Anthony himself
I think that is what I always loved with Anthony Bourdain, while he did visit the high class food places as well, he really put a spotlight on the ordinary people and the street food that everyday people eat. It have made me explore more whenever I visit countries, I see a alleyway with shops, I go down that route, and I have experienced so many unique and interesting food, drinks and people along the way.
Lunch lady one time charged me bay muoi for the same dish she was charging locals bon muoi. Just a heads up if you visit and your a foreigner bring someone with you to translate or confirm the price before! I don't blame her it was end of 2020 when there were no tourists in Vietnam, but still come on lunch lady
We miss you Anthony 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Retracing Bourdain's steps feels–surreal. It's almost as if if we just turn a corner, he's right there, enjoying life and the food he's partaking. But try to catch up to him, he's up and gone. It fills me with a deep sadness. But also happiness. Thanks to him, I got to know more of the world. Thanks to his programming. Thank you Bourdain, and the entire Zero Point Zero crew.
I will 100% be looking out for Lunch Lady when I'm in Saigon this February. That's the kind of meal I want to try… her daily specialty!
I've been to the Lunch Lady every day for a whole week (all 7 dishes) when I lived in Vietnam and it was amazing.
Rip boss
I had lunch on a Saturday last September at The Lunch Lady… I arrived at 10:40 (before opening time), but took a sear and was the first person served. An incredible meal and a place where I will return next time in Saigon…

I really love that you did this tribute. not even 2 minutes in and in tears. thank you 🙏🏽
So nice to see this tribute to Anthony Bourdain. Thank you, I love him too! 🥲
RIP legend
I'm typically very emotionless. My husband makes fun of me cause he will cry watching movies. I once told him food will make me cry. This whole video had me crying. Tony is a legend and a great human being. He was taken from us way to early. I miss watching his passion so much.
It's was so emotional and meaningful clips that I have watched from your channel, Sonny. Thank you for making it for audiences, for Bourdain and for Vietnam. Rock on Bro!!👏👏👍
Thank you for this tribute, I couldn't help tearing up
yeah I miss him
