We are currently seeking a Business Operations Administrator to join our Maintenance Division. This individual will provide administrative/executive support to the Airport Maintenance Senior Vice President, Senior Director of Maintenance, Director of Maintenance Administration, and Maintenance Administration Managers as needed. This position will be responsible for various office responsibilities, including, but not limited to managing travel logistics, maintaining, and supporting meeting and travel calendars. In addition, you will have the opportunity to execute the following:
Additionally, as a Maintenance Administration Staff Assistant you can expect to:
- Manages operational and/or administrative program/functional activities, services, and regulatory requirements and serves as a liaison and central point of contact between various sections/divisions, customers, business/community organizations, and/or other stakeholders
- Serves as a technical advisor, provides consultative and technical guidance to city employees/managers and/or other stakeholders, and assists in resolving difficult and sensitive inquiries and complaints
- Recommends and implements new or revised operational/administrative policies, procedures, requirements, guidelines, and/or new directives and communicates the changes to employees and management
- Conducts surveys, compiles, and analyzes trends/data, establishes systems for gathering and maintaining information pertinent to the program/functional area, and recommends revisions and/or changes
- Communicates with a wide range of city staff and management, outside agencies, consultants, contractors, vendors, community/business groups, and the public to share information and resolve problems or issues
- Use Smartsheet to process and manage tasks related to invoicing/billing, purchases, Commercial Driver License Qualification Files, and specified guidelines as assigned
- Prepares a variety of analytical and operational reports, correspondence, and other documentation and provides operational information and statistical data for management/departmental use
- Act as the employee Uniform Program Administrator, to include safety toe shoes, clothes, hats, jackets, safety prescription glasses, etc. (initial issue and ongoing support)
- Builds and / or assists with the PowerPoint decks for leadership meetings and retreats, all staff meetings, engagement survey rollouts and other special projects as necessary. Coordinate meeting and special events (in-person and video conferencing)
- Participate in the DEN Snow Program
We are looking for candidates with all or some of the following experience:
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (365) products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience using Smartsheet
- Experience with budgets, creating and monitoring purchase orders, and reviewing/processing vendor invoices for payment
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Goal orientated and enjoys working in a team environment
- Notary is a plus

- Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience administering business operations or operational programs and/or assisting professional/management staff with administrative or operational functions.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
- Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
- License/Certifications: None
FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
