In 1958, VERAGE was founded in Manchester by William Moore, who was born to a family of harness crafters
VERAGE HOUSE in Manchester, UK
Later in1957, a trip across Europe shed some light. After returning to Manchester, in the next year, William Moore designed and made a suitcase targeted at young travelers, by leveraging the exquisite craftsmanship handed down in his family, and named it VERAGE after his beloved horse, which means “Young Winner, Fearless Fighter”.
How did we get our start?
Inspired by a trip across Europe to improve old leather trunks, William Moore, the founder of VERAGE, set out to seek innovative materials and treatments with his family’s craftsmen.
