In this video, you’ll discover 8 of the best places to shop in Paris featuring the most charming Covered Passages (1800’s Antique Shopping Malls) including The Arcades at Palais Royal, Galerie Vivienne, Passage Jouffroy, Passage des Panoramas, Passage Verdeau, Passage Choiseul, Passage du Grand Cerf & Galerie Vero-Dodat.To really understand the covered passages, imagine what it was like to shop before the streets had cobblestone. Roads were dirty and muddy. It was hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Manufacturers and merchants brought their wares to crowded street markets. If the merchants weren’t coming to see you at the palace, shopping was an errand to be endured.Enjoy!⚡️ Video Notes ⚡️1️⃣ 2022 Paris Travel Guide (Instant Download) ➡️ https://lesfrenchiestravel.com/paris-guide-2022/2️⃣ OUR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE BEST TOURS IN PARIS ➡️ https://lesfrenchiestravel.com/preferred-tours-activities/3️⃣ LES FRENCHIES PREFERRED TRAVEL GEAR ➡️ https://lesfrenchiestravel.com/travel-gear/4️⃣ LES FRENCHIES MERCH ➡️ https://les-frenchies-travel.myspreadshop.com/🎟 BOOK a Walking tour of Paris Covered Passages in English (From €20.00) 👉 https://bit.ly/WalkingTourCoveredPassages📍Arcades du Palais Royal https://bit.ly/ArcadePalaisRoyal📍Galerie Vivienne https://bit.ly/GalerieVivienne📍Passage Jouffroy https://bit.ly/LePassageJouffroyParis📍Passages des Panoramas https://bit.ly/PassagedesPanoramas📍Passage Verdeau https://bit.ly/PassageVerdeauParis📍Passage Choiseul https://bit.ly/PassageChoiseul📍Passage du Grand Cerf https://bit.ly/PassageduGrandCerf📍Galerie Vero Dodat https://bit.ly/GalerieVeroDodatAbout Les Frenchies: After 32 years in the US, the Duponts moved to France where Antoine was born. Wow that a lot of passage nice to know thank for the amazing video
How can I do this personalised tour? You probably mention this in the vid but I’m impatient. 😊 Travelling by myself in 2 weeks. Hope I’m not too late to organise this. Back to vid. Cheers from 🇦🇺
Wonderful content as always!
Just Amazing 👏 😍
I want to go there.
Les Frenchies! You’ve just made my year with this video. You never know entirely what you’re getting when booking abroad. My daughters and I are staying at the Hotel Chopin this summer, and just saw it featured in this video. I’m jumping up and down that we’re staying in one of these iconic passageways featured on the Les Frenchies channel! Thank you for yet another of the best travel videos I’ve seen online!
You two do such a great job on every video, so organized. So pleasant! I really love it
Have a lovely necklace purchased in a small shop in Passage Jouffroy, and a scarf in a beautiful store in Galerie Vivienne. THAT shop is tres cher.
Shopping experiences like that are pretty much gone in the US. It's a shame. JMHO
Pretty cool about booking a "nap" ! Brisbane, Australia has some of these "galleries" too, but not as elaborate (or antique) as these.
There are many covered passages like this in London, England and some cities in Italy.
Just love your videos….No matter what you show it's the best in my favorite city. Merci….
We are coming to Paris Jan and Feb. Would you two be willing to meet for a coffee?? My husband and I love your videos!!!
I love you guys. My fiancé is from Chambery, so your Parisian videos are very entertaining to us. Thank you, Merci! ❤
I am french , born and brought up in Vincennes (outskirts Paris) (then went to live in Normandy, then South of France Pau, and now retired in Bretagne seaside) and … must tell you …
I never knew all these " Passages" (just one or two) – YOU know more places than we true Parisians know (well, you know when you are young and live in Paris or its outskirts , our live is more : " métro-boulot-dodo" (means = full up stinking metro going to work- boulot = at work- dodo = bedtime) – saturdays filling the fridge, sunday having a rest : not taking metro and go in the crowds …
in fact … to really enjoy Parsi … better live there when older and retired ! – LOL … I enjoy ALL of your vids , amazing !
so helpful >3 merci beaucoup !!!
Hi LesFrenches! I have been to Paris 4 xs. Your videos have helped me learn more about Paris than any book our guide. I now have a sense of where things are and what is in eAch area to enjoy. Such fun to engage the brain in a meaningful way!! Merci!!
Bon Joi
You two are amazing, your videos are so informative. We marked all locations that we were interested in seeing dans le beau Paris, in our memorable 5 day stay. Thank you. God bless your kindness.
Is there a link to book you guide?
Great information. Btw, I really appreciate your listing the metro stations for each attraction on all of your videos. Super helpful!
What happens in the evening ? Are these places opened for dinner ?
Food at Galeries Lafayette .
So far, the most detailed, organized video series I've watched. I'm going to Paris in September and your channel has helped me so much. You truly covered everything
Galerie Vivienne, the closest metro is Bourse
